我弟下個月要去美國唸書了
偏偏他本來是用sony SRX日文機
自己灌"通用版的中文XP professional"

說起來
算是"盜版的"了

想像起來

在美國的這個注重著作權的國家
帶著這樣的NB會不會很危險阿

被抓到
一罰
搞不好破產....

是這樣嗎?
有沒有的先進可以解答一下呢

又
如果要買正式版的Office
哪買好??

"Usually", they won't even bother to catch a small fish like this, especially if your brother's OS is in Chinese.  But try not to install too many illegal softwares because the dorm in my university was heavily searched last year for the illegal software...

Many universities in the US have contract with MS and students/employees can purchase MS software in "deep" discount price ($5 in my university and free in my wife's university).  Check "old bones" first will be a safe bet...

因為我有在用linux，所以預設會開到linux裡面，要查的話開linux給他看就好了....
windows要經過"特殊手續"才會開進去....

美國比較在意的是BOOM....盜版，再說吧...要抓也要抓"大盤"的

Sorry, it is not "English" --- more like "Chinglish" ;-)

What I meant is to ask senior students in that particular university and they should have information about the MSCA (Microsoft Campus Agreement).

嗯...不要帶太多光碟(燒錄的)倒是真的...
硬碟夠大的話塞進去吧..有也不要跟電腦放一起
海關最多檢查可不可以正常開機(是不是真的電腦)
因為炸彈放在NB或NB的電池裡很難用X光檢查出來
再說你弟如果NB用中文介面海關檢查也麻煩些
所以你弟如果不是帶者一塊標示WINDOS 98.2K.XP.??
上面還有序號的燒錄光碟的話..因該不會有事

最後由衷推薦去到那再買電腦吧不論是NB還是PC都不會比較貴
又有保固..又可以知道米國人都玩什麼鳥

在美國讀書理論上不需要擔心軟體使用的問題,學校一定準備的很期全(課業上的需求絕對沒問題)
以前還買過學生版的微軟軟體 ,Words, Excel,etc.. 美金都不要10元一套(微軟對美國學生很好的)
所以不用擔心
