As per the design of your car's handsfree system, the outgoing calls made from the handset (Treo) are NOT transferred automatically to the car's handsfree system.
There may be rare instances where the car's handsfree system and Treo do not recognize each other. In this case, the car's handsfree system indicates that it has lost communication with the phone. The only known work-around at this time is to recycle the ignition power on the car to initiate the communication sequence between the phone and the car's handsfree system. Palm is working with JCI to resolve this issue. Please check back here in a few weeks for any update.

Mobile-Ease from Peiker Acoustics (Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury)
The Dual Tone Multi-Frequency (TouchTone) tones from Treo are not transferred to the car kit in-dash user interface.
Motorola Bluetooth Wireless Car Kit HFW8000
Voice dialing and commands offered by this product are not supported on Treo.
Parrot CK3100 Bluetooth Car Kit
If your Treo 650 has any speed dial Favorites that include Extra Digits, the device will reset when you connect to the car kit. We recommend removing Extra Digits from speed dials.
Always initiate the Bluetooth pairing from Treo 650.
On your Treo 650, make sure that you enable "Allow wake up" option in the Bluetooth Manager.
If you have paired your Treo 650 with the Acura (or Honda) car kit (called HandsFreeLink TM), the first outgoing call dialed on your handset immediately after pairing may not be transferred to the car kit. If this happens, try dialing the call from the car kit. Alternatively, try an incoming call by having someone call your number. Now, you must hear the call in the car. Try dialing again on your Treo 650.
If you have paired your Treo 650 with the Ford car kit (called Mobile-Ease), you cannot enter DTMF tones from the car kit in-dash UI.
If you are not able to dial calls out from the car kit when paired with your Treo 650, make sure that there is no blocking pop-up window on your phone. Examples of pop-up windows are missed-call or busy-number alerts, calendar event alarms, low battery warnings or other dialogs that block outgoing calls on your Treo. Dismiss the pop-up window and try dialing from the car again.
