For navigation in the US with voice prompt and routing capability, you will need to buy GPS Navigation software, which can be anywhere from US$80 to US$250! I know, it's expensive.
  
Some good ones are:   
Routis (www.deluo.com, or www.routis.com)
Mapopolis (http://mapopolis.com/)
PocketMap Navigator (http://pocketmap.com/navigator.html)
TomTom Navigator USA (www.tomtom.com)  
  
For installing the entire map of CA, u will need AT LEAST 60MB of memory.  If u just want to install either Southern CA or Northern CA, then u need about 30MB of RAM for the map.
  
I'm currently using Routis + Holux GM-270 Ultra. They worked fine, but I'm having a 30Meter lag usually.

手上的機器就只有S3最適合用來當地圖導航
T40太大而且還要開機
E-125太小而且地圖塞不下
所以還是大小適中的S3最合適...^^
