What kinda files you usually transfer between your pals and you? I believe there are always solutions for those, for text files, you can use PDF, txt, LaTex, html format, or AppleWorks, Abiword, OpenOffice(Beta) can open .doc files, OR, just buy a copy of ms office for mac. .......ZzzZZZzZZZzzz.
