Sony Ericsson announces a new P1, to replace the P990

Sony Ericsson announces a new and much thinner smartphone, P1, to replace the rather thick and bulky P990 line.

The new P1 is 25% smaller than P990 and has the following features:

- 3G (UMTS) and EDGE
- UIQ OS
- WiFi (802.11b)
- 160M internal memory
- QVGA screen
- 3.2 Megapixel camera
- Memory Stick Micro slot
- bulit-in radio
- support stereo headphone

However P1 will not have QWERTY keyboard but will only have 20 keys for input.
