標題: [有趣]謎一般的生物- Rods
記得第一次看到Rods 竟是在荒木飛呂彥的jojo 冒險野郎, 當時我還以為作者
是唬爛的, 直到我發現國外許多網站都在討論Rods這種生物.

先看張照片-

圖中那隻螺旋狀的生物就是Rods...

由Rods之父, 也就是Rods 早期的發現者之一Mr. Jose Escamilla, 他的描述如下:
"Rods are cigar or cylindrical shaped objects that travel at high velocities barely visible with the naked eye.

They appear to be alive as they move through the air like fish swim in the sea. They appear to have fins or appendages along the torso and the torsos bend as they travel.

The term Rods came along because these things had the impression of things you can see under the microscope that are called Rods....So for lack of a better name Rods kind of stuck."

(我簡單翻譯一下)
Rods 的外型如同雪笳或是圓柱狀, 以肉眼所無法看見的速度快速移動.

他們在空中活動的方式, 就如同在海中游動的魚一樣, 在他們軀幹的四週有鰭, 當移動時這些鰭會彎曲
(聽起來好像魟魚在海中的游泳方式)

而"Rods"這個名字, 是因為你只能在叫做Rods的顯微鏡下看到這些生物, 目前並無更適當的名稱.

較可能的意思:
rods的名稱來自於顯微鏡下看到的rods(桿菌) [但不是桿菌]

很久以前也讀過這些<故事>啦
不過仔細想想有太多不符合一般邏輯
這些網站講的天花亂墬. 怎麼不見一個科學家背書呢?

我想是個HOAX啦

好幾年前就有看過有節目報導過了，雖然沒結論，但是怎麼到現在沒有新消息...

所以不知這謎或是故事要傳多久才會有結果

印象中有看到解謎的網頁
有推論出一個原因-- Rods 是昆蟲快速飛行時留下的飛行軌跡，每種昆蟲振翅的方式不一所以Rods的翅膀形狀各異
由於攝影機的FPS大約是30格/秒，昆蟲每秒振翅速度高過30次以上，所以可以看到最少一個以上的振翅週期
如果用的是每秒千格的高速攝影機，應該打死都拍不出有Rods，永遠只看的到蒼蠅小蟲吧..
