I am doing a project about infrared connection between PC and palm.
I want to ask everybody how to write the program on PC to use IrDA connection between them

What the development software you are using?
Some tools using your Ir port as the Serial port, just enable it.
If your are using IrDA standard to your PC, everything is standard. If you must call IR Library, you needed low level tools.
I am doing a Ir project too. But my project is going to connect with a micro controller via IR, which had not IrDA hardware (like TV remote). I am not clear how to use the IR without IrDA standard yet.
Wish your project needed IrDA standard.
