我最近在用 OpenOffice 1.1 ，可直接開啟 word excel等，直接轉成PDF檔

Another way (may not be faster but free)
1. print into ps (set up post-script printer in FILE port)
2. convert ps into pdf by Gsview

我提供的網頁上面說的方法跟您提出來的方式有些類似，他是用Acrobat Distiller Printer來製作。當你安裝完Acrobat reader後應該會多出一個printer的設定叫做Acrobat Distiller Printer，利用這個內建的printer將你想轉換的文件在硬碟上print out 成 pdf格式的文件，就可以達到轉換的目的。可惜不知道為什麼現在這個中文官方網站再也連不進去了...有點可惜。提供另一個官方網頁，不過是英文的，大家加減看吧

作成的PDF檔，要開檔觀看時，有時會很慢，
如果是要抓網頁頁面資料，推薦使用
"電子圖書館"，超好用，又便宜！

When I installed Acrobat "Reader" (free), I didn't have Acrobat Distiller Printer appeared. I guess this works for Acrobat Acrobat (not free).
(see the link you gave, on the right panel, it said Product: Acrobat Acrobat )
When only have the "Reader", you need to set up the postscript driver to FILE port manually. Very easy. Just add a new printer, e.g. Apple Color LW.

You are right. Acrobat Distiller comes with Adobe Acrobat, which is non-free.
But I thought that using this distiller is the standard way which I use all the time. I don't
know is there other method to use Acrobat to generate PDF files?

BTW, after generating .ps files from Apple GW printer driver. You still need to convert it
to PDF by yourself.(ex. using ghostview) Is there any other good method on this for free?
